The Optoelectronics
Research Group in the Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at the State
University of New York at Stony Brook is well established as a source of
expertise in design, growth, processing, testing and comprehensive
characterization of photonic devices, such as lasers and LEDs.
We collaborate with Air Force Research Laboratory, Army Research Laboratory, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Naval Research Laboratory, Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, University of Rochester - Laboratory for Laser Energetics, Maxoon Corporation and Power Photonic Corporation. The details of current research work can be obtained from the Projects page.
Currently, 12 people are working in Optoelectronics Group, including faculty, senior research scientists, postdoctoral scientists and graduate students. Professor Gregory Belenky is founder and head of the group.
The growth and processing facilities in our labs are based on MBE and a "Class 100" clean room with other equipment required for modern semiconductor wafer processing. We provide a list of publications and some of them in pdf format at Publications page.
To receive more information on Optoelectronics Research or related topics, send an email to Prof. Gregory Belenky at garik@ece.sunysb.edu or use the Contact Page to find more about how to reach us.
